The Big Book of Social Work

social-workAs societal conditions and policies have changed dramatically in recent years, so has the standard reference publication for social work practitioners. The updated and expanded 20th edition of the Encyclopedia of Social Work (NASW Press and Oxford University Press) was coedited by Pitt’s Larry Davis, Donald M. Henderson Professor, dean of the School of Social Work, and director of the Center on Race and Social Problems. The encyclopedia serves as a resource for social workers, students, and policymakers, as well as anyone interested in social issues. Its 400 articles, written by experts that include six members of Pitt’s social work faculty, reflect changes in the profession, including a more international and multicultural perspective.
